How to correctly close your Red Hen Remote session

There are two ways to correctly close or log off of your Red Hen Remote session.  Users can select Log Off... from their Start menu, and then click Yes to confirm:

 

Alternately, users can click the Log off keyicon from the Quicklaunch bar:

Note that his option logs users off immediately without any additional prompting.

Users should not close their sessions by clicking the X in top right corner of their screen unless they intend to disconnect instead of log off.  When the server prompts Do you want to terminate the application? it is actually asking if it should disconnect the session.

Disconnected sessions are handy if users experience internet interruptions.  In some cases it is possible to reconnect to a disconnected session without any lost data.  More commonly however, users receive the following error when trying to connect to servers that are supporting a disconnected session:
