Red Hen Remote uses Duo Security to ensure that users are who they say they are. Specifically, Duo ensures that a user seeking entry has access to the unique phone number established during setup. Here's how to set it up.
- To initiate the Duo setup, open https://secure.redhenremote.com in a browser and provide your Red Hen username and password. Click Log On.
2. If this is your first time connecting to https://secure.redhenremote.com, you will prompted to create a Duo Account. Click Get Started.
3. On the First, add a device screen, select Duo Mobile.
4. Provide a phone number that you can easily access. Check the usage agreement and Click Continue.
5. Confirm that the phone number is correct.
6. At this point, we recommend you install the Duo Push app on your phone. Duo Push is the most convenient method of approving security requests. visit the App Store or Google Play and install the Duo Mobile app. Once installed, return to the web page; don't try to configure a connection from the app. Click Next.
7. If you receive a "Duo Mobile" would like to send you notifications prompt, click Allow. Click Next to Name your account.
8. Click Save to accept the suggested account name.
9. Click Skip to start using the new account immediately.
10. Allow or Decline user experience collection (feel free to Turn off).
11. Click OK to complete the process. Return to https://secure.redhenremote.com and enter your username and password.
12. This time, you will receive a pop-up from the Duo app when you submit your credentials. Just click Approve to proceed.
