Red Hen supports all versions of QuickBooks, up to seven years old. In other words, if you purchase a valid Quickbooks 2016 license, we will not require that you upgrade again until 2023.
Note however, that Intuit "discontinues" support on their products after about 3 years (see https://community.intuit.com/articles/1020742-quickbooks-service-discontinuation-disco-policy-and-upgrade-information). After a version of QuickBooks has been discontinued, you cannot access any of the add-on services offered by Intuit. These include Payroll, Technical Support, Payments, and Online Banking.
To upgrade your QuickBooks on Red Hen, simply purchase the necessary licenses from your favorite retailer (online or brick and mortar store) and send us the license key and product code that appears on the yellow sticker (in the case of a physical product) or the licensing email (in the case of an online purchase). We will upgrade your files and grant you access to the new version of QuickBooks during your next login.
